Question
Is it possible to browse/restore separate files or folders from the Virtual Machine/Ploop Container backup using Virtuozzo Automator or command line?
Answer
Virtuozzo Hybrid Server 7.x allows to attach backup as a block device to the Virtual Machines and Ploop Containers in order to restore separate files and folders
In Virtuozzo 6 this feature is available starting from Virtuozzo 6.0 Update 7 (PSBM-21999).
To read the contents of a Virtual Machine or Ploop Container backup, you can attach it to a Virtual Machine or Ploop Container as a virtual hard disk.
# prlctl set <VE_NAME> --backup-add <BACKUP_UUID> --disk <DISK_FILENAME>
