Symptoms

When you're trying to upgrade from version of 6.2 to 6.3, you might be presented with eligibility problems with your existing k8s (Kubernetes) cluster version, which mentions the minimum supported version is 1.27.8 or a new version

Cause

VHI 6.3 only supports the k8s version 1.27.8 or later.

Resolution

  • Upgrade your k8s cluster to at least the mentioned minimum supported version.

Q: What happens if I don't update my k8s cluster to the minimum supported version?

  • You won't be able to upgrade it at all once you run version 6.3, and there will be no support if there's any issue with the k8s cluster.
